“DIESELMEDAILLE 2011”: Successful Inventor Award Ceremony

On November 30, the DIESELMEDAILLE, Germany´s longest running inventor award, took place at the renowned Deutsche Museum in Munich. More than 200 guests attended the ceremony. The judges announced the four DIESEL medal winners in the following categories: best innovation, most sustainable innovation, best innovation funding and best media communication.

Karl Schlecht, CEO and founder of the Putzmeister Corporation, was awarded the best innovation DIESEL for his innovative pumping systems. For the most sustainable innovation DIESEL, Jürgen Pfitzer and Helmut Nägele, founders of the TECNARO Corporation, convinced the judges with their newly developed plastics named ARBOFORM. The German Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology, with its SME innovation promotion program, won the DIESEL medal for best innovation funding. Finally, the DIESEL for the best media communication went to MDR, a German public television broadcaster for a well-known innovation series.

As an official sponsor of the DIESELMEDAILLE 2011, MultiLing was represented at the event. Michael Sneddon, CEO of MultiLing and Tatjana Götz, from MultiLing Germany, hosted a booth with information about the company and its translation services. During their stay, they had many interesting discussions with potential clients within the innovation and patent industry.
