MultiLing Participates at LISA Global Strategies Summit

Language Services Company Attends Summit to Help Improve Processes

JUNE 25, 2004 – Provo, UTAH – MultiLing Corporation, a Utah-based language services company, recently participated at the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) Global Strategies Summit on June 21-24, 2004 in San Francisco. The summit brought together some of the brightest minds in the localization and language services industry to discuss issues in Managing Global Content Expansion.

The summit incorporated issues faced by IT manufacturers, translation and localization solutions providers, internationalization professionals, as well as vertical market corporations with an international business focus in finance, banking, manufacturing, health care, energy and communications. MultiLing Corporation, which provides localization and language services to global clients, participated at the summit to better understand the best practice guidelines, standards, and issues for enterprise globalization.

“In the current global economy, there is a high demand for language services and localization,” said Emmanuel Margetic, Sales and Marketing Manager for MultiLing Corporation. “At MultiLing, we want to keep up on the latest in the industry – that is the only way we can improve our processes and better serve our clients."

The summit focused on where language fits in managing global content expansion and integrating distributed global content management systems. Attendees were encouraged to think outside the box and even to throw away the box sometimes when finding solutions.

“It is time to rescue our content from the old metaphor of platforms, files, pages and devices,” said George Kondrach, Executive Vice President of Innodata Isogen. “Since the latter are limiting us as we struggle to move forward to create, produce and distribute our knowledge in ways that are truly useful. Our current mindset is limiting us in our attempts to improve our information processing systems.”
